What is a truck management system?
A truck management system is software for running a commercial truck fleet: dispatching loads, following trips, keeping vehicle and driver documents in order, and tracking fuel, tyres, maintenance and trip profitability. Krans is designed around multi-day, cross-border trips in East and Central Africa.
Is truck management software the same as GPS tracking?
GPS tracking reports a vehicle’s position. Truck management software connects the journey to dispatch, driver records, fuel, maintenance, delivery documents and costs. Krans can use positions from supported GPS providers alongside these operational records; dispatch and trip records can also be used without a GPS integration.
Which routes does Krans support?
Krans is designed for trips along corridors such as Dar es Salaam to Lusaka, Lubumbashi and Kigali, and Mombasa to Kampala. Tell us your origins, destinations and border posts, and we will walk through your own route in a demo.
Do we need GPS hardware?
Krans has adapters for Wialon, Traccar, Cartrack, Ctrack and Afritrack. Compatibility depends on your provider account and device mapping, so plan an integration check with your existing devices before buying hardware. Dispatch, trip and document records work without a GPS integration.
How much does it cost per truck?
Published software rates start at TZS 35,000 per truck per month for 3-9 trucks, TZS 28,000 for 10-29 trucks and TZS 22,000 for 30-99 trucks. Larger fleets and multi-country rollouts get a tailored quote. Confirm taxes, onboarding, data migration and any GPS provider charges in writing before subscribing.
